The only important thing is that the first and last letter is in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it out and hit a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Amzanig huh?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For most of us, we have an average of 121 business-related emails to send and receive each day, and that number is expected to increase to 140 a day by 2018, according to a recent study by the Radicati Group, a tech market research firm based in Silicon Valley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0In other words, business writing is not going away anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cudoo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/shutterstock_164659313.jpg\" alt=\"shutterstock_164659313.jpg\" width=\"724\" height=\"373\" \/><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>You must\u00a0<strong>read<\/strong>. If the only writing you ever read is your own, you will have no standards to judge your writing against. Read like a spectator, if you must, but try to read like an apprentice.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"2\">\n<li>You must\u00a0<strong>write<\/strong>. No matter how many rules you know, it takes practice to write well. Your tenth letter to a disgruntled client will be easier to write than the first one, and believe it or not, the tenth report will be easier to write too.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"3\">\n<li>You should\u00a0<strong>want to write<\/strong>. Find personal reasons for wanting to write well and for wanting to communicate with others. Then, turn off the internal (or external!) language cop that\u2019s slowing you down and get writing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"4\">\n<li>You need a\u00a0<strong>feedback\u00a0<\/strong>system to tell you how you\u2019re doing. You need to know if your writing works. People don\u2019t learn to write well from being corrected; they learn not to write. Look at feedback as an opportunity to find better solutions, not as an opportunity to correct errors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cudoo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/shutterstock_242606185-1.jpg\" alt=\"shutterstock_242606185-1.jpg\" width=\"724\" height=\"292\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The 4 Cs of Good <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cudoo.com\/products\/professional-development\/business-writing-that-works\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Business Writing<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Less is more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<strong>1.\u00a0<\/strong><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Be clear<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Avoid jargon and opt for the easier word and shortest phrase (e.g. &#8216;chose&#8217; instead of &#8216;elected&#8217;, &#8216;I agree&#8217; instead of &#8216;I concur&#8217; etc.).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a02.\u00a0<\/strong><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Be concise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Use short sentences and avoid long, multi-clause strings. Reduce those redundant words. e.g. &#8216;Discussed&#8217; instead of &#8216;Entered into a discussion about.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<strong>3.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Be Complete<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Make a list of what you need to include, stick to the facts and key points without embellishment, and put yourself in your reader&#8217;s shoes to make sure what you have written can be understood as a standalone and hits the right tone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">4. Be Correct<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proof read before submitting or hitting send. There are plenty of online resources if Grandma Says Please fills you with terror (Grammar, Spelling, Punctutation). Don&#8217;t ruin your masterpiece with silly errors. If your reader thinks you can&#8217;t be trusted with the little things, they won&#8217;t trust you with the big things.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Remember, perception is reality.
