Not only did he get to take home that money, but he also is officially the first-ever Fortnite World Cup Solos champion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dictionary.com\/browse\/esports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eSports<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is competitive video game playing, typically amongst professionals. Some of the games played are <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.callofduty.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Call of Duty<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/overwatchleague.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overwatch<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smashbros.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Super Smash Bros<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">., <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/madden-nfl\/madden-nfl-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Madden NFL<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even major companies, such as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.redbull.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Red Bull<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, are stepping into the exploding world of eSports by hosting various tournaments and sponsoring eAthletes, such as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/ninja\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ninja<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eSports has seen a shocking rise in the past few years. In 2016, there were roughly 162 million frequent watchers and that number was expected to rise to 303 million by 2020, says <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/article\/the-incredible-rise-of-esports-cm904589\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NASDAQ<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The American player was the first one to qualify for the World Cup Finals, where he dominated in every aspect of the game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While it may seem foreign to some is a lifestyle to many. Leading up to the match, Bugha would play around 10 hours of Fortnite a day.
