When planning a trip anywhere, you must consider the weather and tourist season. Tourist season in Italy starts picking up in May and the summer weather also starts coming in. Since there is so much to do and so many cities you might want to visit, there will be a lot of travelling around. Flip said, \u201cMy top tip is to travel light, especially in the hotter months. You\u2019ll likely be doing a lot of walking and moving around. Keep it simple and pack the essentials. You\u2019ll be happy when you\u2019re trying to haul luggage from town to town.\u201d<\/p>\n

Food is central to the Italian culture.<\/a> But how do you know where to get the best foods from when there are choices everywhere? Flip\u2019s advice for eating in Italy is, \u201cGo where the locals go! Stay off the main streets and touristy areas. You will save money and enjoy much more authentic and local foods.\u201d<\/p>\n

Did you know that the different regions of Italy have their own unique food pairings and preferences? In the north, fish, potatoes, rice, and different cheeses are more popular while in the south their dishes are dominated by tomato.
