Directly related to the Persian language and is actually often referred to as Iranian Persian. This elaborate language is written in the Cyrillic script.
Mostly heard in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan but it can be heard around the globe. You can hear Farsi spoken in countries such as the United Kingdom, France, and Canada.
This online Farsi course is focused on the dialect of Persian which is spoken in Iran and the dialect spoken in Afghanistan is referred to as “Dari.”
Farsi has managed to stay linguistically consistent since the 1600s. It is believed that Persian speakers can read old Farsi literature even more easily than native English speakers can read the intricate works of Shakespeare.
Farsi is called Farsi thanks to its roots in the capital of the Achaemenid Empire, Persis, is a language brought over by the Mongols. Modern Persian or Farsi consists of many non-Iranian origins, which means it’s evolving once again.
