Azeri, also known as Azerbaijan Turkish, is the spoken language of Azerbaijan. From Zoroastrianism, the worship of fire, to the immense fuming mountains of Azerbaijan, the land is home to oil fields, history, and folklore. The Azerbaijanis are of mixed ethnicity; Caucasian and Turkish/Iranian. Azri literally translates to ‘fire’ and currently, 95% of the Azerbaijani’s speak Azari, along with Russian and English.
